OK, so I have to admit…I’m jealous- Great new show “On the road in Spain”

*EPISODE 6 Recipe: Spinach Catalan Style*
(Serves 2 to 3)
· 2 tablespoons olive oil
· 3 tablespoons pine nuts
· 3 tablespoons dried currants
· 1 large bunch spinach, washed and spun mostly dry (leave enough water to help cook the spinach)
· Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat (or over a hot grill fire). Add the nuts and currants and stir for a minute or two, until the nuts start to brown. Add the spinach, in batches if necessary, and stir and cook until the spinach is nicely wilted, 3 to 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, and serve.

The show the two are accompanied by award winning cookbook author and NY Times food writer Mark Bittman and Spanish actress Claudia Bassols on a four month road trip through Spain (via a posh armada of Mercedes). Each episode has the foursome exploring the culture, meeting the people, stylishly eating and drinking through a different region of the country. Throughout the series, the foursome can be seen enjoying a wide variety of wines, such as: Segura Viudas Cava and Vionta Albariño.

That said, I’m very jealous of this show and figure if I promote them enough…they’ll ask me to host the “On the road in Italy..” or something similar
I’ll just take on the road in Spain 2.0! I want to go to Spain.
