Bin 604 has a great selection of wines with quite a remarkable selection from France, Australia and Spain. They have great wine tastings (that I feel are a bit overpriced but can be worth it depending on the selections) and seminars and are conveniently located next to Whole Foods. Customer service is always good but expect to pay a little more here for wine.

Great, always-changing selection with very good prices. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and the owner Mitchell is usually around and knows a lot. There is a wine bar in the middle of the store which usually has a few nice bottles open for tasting and excellent appetizers. Great selection of spirits and beer as well. It’s not the size of the store that counts, but the quality of the wine selection and customer service. At Mt. Washington you will find great deals on wines that you might not see anywhere else in Baltimore. That’s because the owner and main wine guy Seth is meticulous in his wine choices (as he has to be with little room for inventory!). The selections are constantly changing and features some gems including a few different Grand Cru Bordeaux’s, as well as a nice selection of dessert and sparkling wines. If you’re looking for microbrews, you have to check out The Old Vine, located in Mt. Washington. They have a lot of wines in stock but they can be hard to navigate/find your way around. There’s also a nice selection of spirits with a few very good Scotch options.

The prices are great, the selection is good, and the deli area is loaded with great meats and cheeses, among other things. A lot of Champagne and sparkling and a very complete spirits selection, combined with a very comprehensive beer selection. Discount they are. Well’s has a large selection of wines most of which are priced very well. They have a good number of wines from all over the world and have good focus in Italy, Germany and France, as well as the United States. The best beer selection around combined with very helpful staff makes Well’s one of the best around.
