With the passing of earth day, I decided to look back upon some of the organic beers that are available on the market.  While there are not many, there is a growing market and I look forward to seeing many more beers in the future, made from sustainably grown produce.  In the meantime, one of my favorite is from, of course, Clipper City brewery, which preserved the Oxford name (a local Baltimore brewery from way back when)  and produces a great Raspberry Wheat beer.

This beer is everything the name says it is!  With a nice raspberry flavor/aroma throughout, from the pour to finish and a great wheat taste and texture, this beer is easily a summer favorite.   It’s very refreshing, and light on the palate for a wheat beer, but also has a wonderful sweet honey-ish flavor to go along with the wheat and raspberry.  Buy a 6-pack, have some friends over, get outside and enjoy it as the weather warms up!
